Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne
Infoscience is the institutional Archive of the EPFL, a database used to archive and report works and scientific publications (articles, Conference papers, proceedings, books, book chapters, posters, reports, etc.), produced by the laboratories of Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. The Infoscience project aims to facilitate access to scientific resources produced at EPFL: publications, preprints, research reports, projects, theses, student work, courses, posters. Our vision is to see this production as assets at every stage of its life cycle: heritage of the researchers, their laboratory, of the faculty, of the school and beyond that, of the scientific community. Some of this heritage consists of the books collected by the EPFL libraries. The Infoscience project aims to provide a collective catalogue of these complementary resources to school productions. It is not only about centralizing information, but about offering a range of useful services to all members of the scientific community. Firstly, for researchers and their labs, Infoscience wants to be a working tool, easy to access and use: they can archive their scientific production, organize it, and then, re-appropriate the content. For faculties and management, the EPF and Infoscience can become a tool for analysis and decision. Outside the walls of the EPFL, Infoscience can be a platform for exploration of EPFL capabilities for other researchers, students in doctoral research, etc.
